About Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision for associate-level social workers seeking full licensure with the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (NCSWCLB).

Clinical Supervision is more than reviewing cases—it is an opportunity to build clinical confidence, refine your therapeutic approach, enhance critical thinking, and develop greater self-awareness as a mental health professional.

Drawing from my experience in community mental health, college counseling, telehealth, and private practice, I strive to create a learning environment where supervisees feel both supported and challenged.

Together, we will explore case conceptualization, evidence-based interventions, ethical decision-making, documentation, professional boundaries, and the therapeutic relationship while encouraging you to develop an authentic clinical style.

Supervision Process

Completing the path to full licensure involves several key steps, and I am here to guide you through each one:

  1. Establishing a Relationship with a Qualified Clinical Supervisor: I have been fully licensed and an LCSW for four years and have over six years of clinical experience treating clients with mental illness in different practice settings including community mental health, college counseling, and private practice; additionally, I have several years of experience working in the child welfare, public health, and home healthcare fields, and I have completed training for clinical supervisors through the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
  2. Applying for Associate Licensure: I can assist you in navigating the application process for associate licensure, ensuring you meet all necessary requirements and submit the appropriate documentation to the NCSWCLB.
  3. Maintaining Regular Supervision and Continuing Education: Regular supervision sessions are vital to your development as a social worker. I offer virtual and in-person supervision to associate clinicians in the Fayetteville region. Additionally, I can support your continuing education efforts to keep you informed of the latest practices and standards in the field.
  4. Completing 3000 Treatment Hours with Clients: Throughout your journey, I will help you track and document your clinical hours, ensuring you meet the 3000-hour requirement. My goal is to provide you with the insights and guidance necessary to enhance your clinical skills and confidence.
